Other Description

When we opened our Boston Brewery in 1988, we created a special brew, Boston Ale, to mark the occasion. A "stock" ale with a distinctly American Character, it's spiced with English hops, sweetened with caramel malts, fermented as an ale and aged at cool temperatures. Cheers! Earthy and spicy from English ale hops, sweetened with caramel malts, and mildly fruity, Boston Ale is a flavorful beer with a unique American character. Smooth, rounded and robust, a classic stock ale with English hops. Color: Red amber. Our mission is simple: many small business owners are working hard to start or grow their food or beverage business, but can't find the funding or advice they need to succeed. Our founder Jim Koch faced the same challenges when he started brewing Samuel Adams Boston Lager® in 1984. With our nonprofit partner Accion, we make micro-loans and offer real world business advice to help these small business owners realize their dreams. As loans are repaid, they're recycled back into the fund. Brewing the American Dream®. Through our Brewing the American Dream program, Jim and the Samuel Adams team are helping talented, passionate people live their American dream: from barista Lucy Valena, founder of Voltage Coffee & Art in Cambridge, MA to Brewer Jim Woods of Mateveza Brewing Company in San Francisco.
