Note: do not remove backing marked 2 (RED) prior to application. 3. Next remove paper backing 2 (RED) by reaching under and pulling off. Press firmly on the patch applicator to ensure the patch is in place. 4. Remove the patch applicator by pulling the tab away. Apply oil free make up and powder and go! The patch should be left in place on the skin. Make-up, lipstick or other cover up can be applied over the patch. Repeat application only when an applied patch starts to detach. On average, the patch remains in place for 8 to 12 hours, this will likely vary from person to person and at different stages of the cold sore. Note: Patch not made with natural rubber latex.
