Directions

Cooking Instructions: Deep Frying: Preheat oil to 375 degrees. Fry pies from frozen state for 8 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brush pies with melted margarine or butter. Bake on a non-stick cookie sheet for 25 minutes until golden brown and center is heated. Cooking Note: Cook until internal temperature reaches equal to or greater than 165 degrees F. Always prepare from frozen state. Product not recommended for microwavable use. Product must be fully cooked. Keep Frozen

Meat Pies have been a traditional favorite in Louisiana since the 1700's, and as the word spreads of how delicious and convenient they are, we keep making more and more to try to satisfy a constantly growing demand. We offer them in wonderful flavors including the Original (beef & pork blend) and the Crawfish, which are terrific baked or deep-fried. The two sizes of empanadas available are a 4 ounce entree size and a 1.25 ounce appetizer size.
