Preparation directions: In saucepan, bring water or broth, olive oil or butter and salt, if desired to a boil. Stir in couscous. Cover and remove from the heat. Let stand for 7 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Number of servings (about 1 cup prepared): 2 - Couscous (uncooked): 2/3 cup - Olive oil or butter: 2 teaspoons - Water or broth: 1 cup - Salt (optional): 1/4 teaspoon. Number of servings (about 1 cup prepared): 4 - Couscous (uncooked): 1 1/3 cups - Olive oil or butter: 1 tablespoon - Water or broth: 2 cups - Salt (optional): 1/2 teaspoon.
