Indian Head Country. The Northwoods of Wisconsin have long been known as "Indian Head Country," because it was thought that the St. Croix River, which forms the western boundary between Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, formed the profile of a Native American. It's for this reason that Jacob Leinenkugel chose the image of a Native American woman to grace the label of his first beer-to pay -homage to both the local people and their home. Today we're proud to carry on that tradition of honoring the source of our rich heritage-Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin-and of brewing beer that would make Jacob proud. The Northwoods: it's an area of wooded hillsides, swift-flowing rivers, prosperous farms, and one very special place-Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, home of the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company. Since 1867, for five generations, we've been brewing our authentic specialty beers using only the finest ingredients and the same time-honored traditions. The next time you find yourself in our neck of the woods, visit our Leinie Lodge and "join us out Here® ". Welcome home. On behalf of all of us here at Leinenkugel's®, we'd like to welcome you to the Leinie Lodge. Just what is the Leinie Lodge, you ask? We've been expecting you. "The Leinenkugel Brothers". 715-723-5557. Bear In Mind®. Leinie's should be enjoyed responsibly. 21. It's the law! Please recycle. Union made. Orange shandy Weiss beer brewed with honey with natural flavor and caramel color added. 12 ounce bottles. In 1922, Franz Xaver Kugler found himself in a tight spot when thousands of cyclists pedaled into his tavern. Afraid he'd run dry, Franz mixed the last of his beer with lemonade. That refreshing drink was a hit with the cyclists. We liked it so much, it inspired us to explore our own shandy combinations. Our latest is Leinenkugel's orange shandy. A traditional shandy is beer mixed with a little something extra, like lemonade, soda, juice or ginger ale. Inspired by the fall orange harvests, Leinenkugel's orange shandy is our latest take on this tradition. We start with crisp, Weiss beer, then blend in natural orange flavor to create the perfect refreshment for the fall and winter months. 12 oz bottles. Back in 1867, Jacob Leinenkugel, son of a German Brew Master, founded the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co. In Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Here he found the essentials for brewing truly exceptional beers-spring water from the big eddy springs and access to the finest barley and hops. Leinenkugel's popularity has grown, But the quality remains unchanged. We still use the finest ingredients and crafted brewing methods. Today, the 5th generation of Leinenkugels takes tremendous pride in the beers carrying the family name. To join the Leinie Lodge or to order official wearables call toll-free 888-LEINIES.
