Area (sq ft): 48 sq ft: 2 inches depth: 6 bags; 3 inches depth: 8 bags; 6 inches raised bed: 8 bags. Area (sq ft): 72 sq ft: 2 inches depth: 8 bags; 3 inches depth: 4=12 bags; 6 inches raised bed: 12 bags. Area (sq ft): 96 sq ft: 2 inches depth: 11 bags; 3 inches depth: 16 bags; 6 inches raised bed: 16 bags. Planting Individual Plants: Dig hole 2x as wide as the container/rootball. Blend a 50:50 mix of garden soil and native soil. Amending Garden Beds: Apply a 3 inch layer of garden soil and work into the top 6 inches of soil. Filling Raised Beds: Mix equal parts garden soil and topsoil or native soil.
