COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Stove Top: Measure 2 cups of water into a saucepan with a tight fitting lid and bring to a boil. Add 1 Tbsp organic butter or olive oil and 1 tsp salt, if desired. Stir in 1 cup of organic white rice. Cover saucepan, lower heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and rest for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. Microwave: Combine 1 cup of organic white rice, 2 cups of water, 1 Tbsp of organic butter or olive oil and 1 tsp salt, if desired, into a microwave safe dish with a tight filling lid. Cover and microwave on high (100%) power for 5 minutes. Stir gently. Reduce power to medium (50%) and continue cooking for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Let rice rest for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. For firmer rice use less water. For softer rice use more water. Store in cool dry place in air tight container.
