Prepare Pumpkin: Draw an opening on the bottom of your pumpkin and saw using large saw edge. Using a Pumpkin Masters scoop*, clean out the seeds and strings. Scrape the area you're about to carve until the wall feels about an inch thick. For sculpting, you can choose not to open the pumpkin. Using an ink pen or crayon, draw design onto the pumpkin or use a Pumpkin Masters pattern*. Carve. Use the large saw edge for simple carving. For more detailed carving, use the small saw edge. Follow the design lines and saw in a gentle up-and-down motion. Sculpt. Carefully guide the sculpting edge of the tool along the design lines, removing the pumpkin skin. Deepen or smooth areas of exposed pumpkin flesh with the raker edge. Light it up! Place your carved pumpkin over a battery-powered light*, and see it come to life! * Sold separately.
