As every mother knows, it's not easy to get your family to eat wholesome meals, let alone that green stuff on their plate. So I had to be creative in developing recipes that incorporated organic grains and veggies that not only tasted great, but were quick and nutritious for my active and busy family. These meals were such a hit with my family and friends that after graduating from college, my son Stephen asked if he could share my recipes with the world. With my blessing, Stephen created Helen's Kitchen. Naked Burrito? My son, Stephen calls a Burrito Bowl a "naked burrito" because it's a burrito served without the tortilla. When my children were small, I made burrito bowls for family and friends by stacking all the delicious and nutritious fillings found in a burrito and called the dish "haystacks". In my Helen's kitchen burrito bowls, you can enjoy my Spanish brown rice with protein-packed beans, layered with authentic Mexican chilies & spices, vibrant organic and natural vegetables all topped with melted cheese, perfectly cooked, and placed in a bowl from my kitchen to yours. Printed with soy ink.
