Installation Instructions: Cut out drilling template below and follow instructions for correct location of installation holes. 1. With door in closed position, place template on inside of door. 2. Mark centers of the three holes. 3. Drill the three 5/16 inch holes straight through the face of the door. Tools Required: pencil, no. 2 Philips screwdriver, drill, 5/16 inch and 1/8 inch drill bits, pliers. Step 1- Use two pliers to break off spindle according to break off spindle according to instructions on right. Step 2- Assemble key and cylinder to the lock button by inserting the key and cylinder into the lock button and turning the key one half turn. Remove key from button prior to further installation. Step 3- Assemble outside handle with button, spindle, and spring. Push the assembly through installation holes from outside the door as shown. Step 4- Depress button to extend spindle. Position latch mechanism over holes, guiding spindle into the rectangular slot in center mechanism. Insert both machine screws into threaded sleeves and turn each down to a snug position, then draw up firmly. Check to make sure that spindle moves freely by pushing button. Step 5- install strike plate on wood jamb or aluminum Z bar to firmly engage latch bolt. Optional Step 6- Use 1/8 inch drill for lower handle hole. Drill through outside of door only and securely faster bottom of handle with screw provided. Outside of Door: Place spindle through center hole of door. Line up arrow with outside face of door. Inside of Door: Break off spindle on the line closest to but not inside the face of the door.
