To preserve material remaining in cartridge after use, allow small amount of plastic seal to cure at tip of spout. Cut off cured material to reopen spout. Over prolonged period additional material in spout. Over prolonged period additional material in spout may cure, requiring cutting larger spout opening and removal of cured material. For sealing soil pipe joints: 1. Apply bead of plastic seal around inside and shelf of bell and on outside of the rim of spigot. 2. Join pipe immediately and apply single ring of oakum, ramming down thoroughly. 3. Apply another bead of plastic seal (1/8 inches to 1/4 inches) into joint and ram in second ring of oakum. 4. Repeat operation no. 3 until joint is filled within 1/4 inch of top of bell. 5. Tamp and spread plastic seal into space in joint and smooth to be level with bell flange. 6. Allow plastic seal to cure for 4 to 6 hours before using line. For cracks, seams or joints: Wipe surface clean. Apply a bead of plastic seal into crevices or on mating surfaces before joining. Allow 4 to 6 hours for cure. For broken parts: Use Hercules Pro Poxy 20 or Plastic Poxy.
