Cooking directions: Simmer: For each 8 ounces (approximately 1/4 bag) of peas, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add vegetable and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: Pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/4 bag) Peas in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 to 7 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. Microwave ovens: pour peas in 2-quart microwave-safe dish. Add water and cover. Microwave on high as directed on chart. Drain. Season to taste. Servings: 2 large: 10. Amount: 8 oz: 32 oz. Water: 1 tablespoon: 1/3 cup. Cooking time*: 3 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 2 to 3 minutes: 6 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 8 to 9 minutes. *Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owners manual. Keep frozen until ready to use.
