Directions

Keep frozen. Directions: cook from frozen. These burgers are fully pre-baked. Please do not overcook. Overcooking will make them too dry. Stove top: heat on lightly oiled skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side or until heated throughout. Barbecuing: oil each side lightly before putting on the grill. Toaster oven or conventional oven: place on cookie sheet and heat at 400 degrees F for 4-5 minutes on each side or until heated throughout. Microwave oven: remove from overwrap and place one or more patties in a single layer on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave one patty for about 50-60 seconds. Increase cooking time about 50-60 seconds for each additional patty. Let stand 1 minute before eating. Since microwave ovens vary, please adjust cooking time to suit your particular oven.

After receiving numerous requests for an "Amy's bean burger" Amy's mom, Rachel asked our chefs to come up with not just any old black bean burger but one that was truly special. They did. Building on our basic veggie burger mix of organic grains, vegetables and mushrooms they added black beans, sweet corn and a perfect blend of chipotle, chili and other spices to create a firm-textured vegan veggie burger with the smoky, spicy flavor of old Mexico. For variety you'll also want to try our all American burger, California burger, cheddar burger, Texas burger, quarter pound burger and gluten free bistro and sonoma burgers. After the birth of our daughter Amy in 1987 we found there was little time to prepare the wholesome nutritious food we normally ate. Realizing there were others like ourselves, we set up Army's kitchen to produce delicious, nourishing frozen meals for health-conscious people too busy to cook. We use only the finest natural and organic ingredients and prepare them with the same careful attention in our kitchen as you would in your own home.
