Experience extraordinary eggs: All our hens are from small flocks on real family farms. We are 100% Certified Humane Free Range, which means ample pasture for them to roam, strict guidelines around space inside their barn, access to antibiotic free feed and water, and much more. Our Andean Blue hens lay lovely heirloom eggs in pastel shades of slate blue. This prized breed is derived from the South American Araucana chicken, bred as far back as the 16th century by the Mapuche people of Patagonia. Our Chocolat Marans hens lay dark, rich brown-colored eggs. This breed of hen was developed in the early 1900s in the village of Marans, on the marshy, mid-Atlantic coast of France. These eggs are much prized by the chefs of Europe for their exceptional flavor and texture. We are thrilled that we can bring these incredible heirloom eggs back to American tables by working with our network of small family farms to raise our Certified Humane heirloom hens.
