Directions

Range top directions: 1. Pour about 1 quart of water into a medium saucepan and submerge 1 bag of rice. 2. Bring to a boil and boil uncovered for 10 minutes. 3. Remove bag with fork or tongs and drain. 4. Cut open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish. Add tub margarine and salt to taste, if desired. To cook multiple bags, pour 3 quarts water into large saucepan and submerge 2-4 bags of rice. Bring to a boil and boil uncovered for 10 minutes. Follow step 3 to drain and serve rice. Microwave Directions: 1. In a 2-quart microwave-safe dish, submerge 1 bag of rice in water (about 1 quart). 2. Microwave on high 10 minutes.* 3. Remove bag with fork or tongs and drain. 4. Cut open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish. Add tub margarine and salt to taste, if desired. *Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. We do not recommend using the microwave to cook multiple bags. Refer to the range top preparation instructions. Each bag makes about 2 servings (1 cup cooked each).
