Planting & repotting instructional images. Choose a container with drainage holes. Choose a saucer consistent with the planting container. Fill bottom with gravel for drainage. Fill with Ultimate Mix. Make a well in the center to receive the plant. Place the plant in the center. Add more Ultimate Mix and press down gently. Water thoroughly. Add more Ultimate Mix if necessary. The content of this bag will fill approximatly this number of pots. Containers: Dimension (sizes in inches); Round Pots: 6, 8, 10; Hanging Baskets: 10, 12. Containers: Approx. of pots filled by 1 bag; Round Pots: 45, 18, 9; Hanging Baskets: 15, 8.5. Note: The figures and calculations presented are approximate and should be used as a guideline. Fertilizer Recommendations. Begin fertilization with complete fertilizers from ferti-lome and Natural Guard within 2 weeks of transplanting. Sowing Seeds: 1. Fill the flat or pot with Ultimate Mix. Press lightly to firm. 2. Water thoroughly. Sow seeds according to seed packet instructions. 3. Maintain moisture by covering with glass or clear plastic. Allow seeds to germinate in a warm place. Do not place seeds in direct sunlight. 4. Transplant when the first set of true leaves develop. Fill is by volume. Some settling may occur during shipment.
