1 jar

Directions

Before use check your jars for chip or cracks in the glass. If defects are found replace with new jars. 70 mm lids fit Kilner preserve jars with a 70 mm mouth (0.25 l, 0.5 l & 1 l sizes). Jar and lids must be washed in warm soapy water. Before preserving, jars and lids must be sterilised in boiling water. Do not pour boiling water directly into your jars. When filling a hot jar be sure to leave appropriate space between the preserve and underside of lid, usually 1-2 cm. Air bubbles can be removed with a wooden or silicon spatula. Make sure that the jar rim is clean and place the vacuum seal on the jar, place the outer metal band on the lid and tighten. Do not retighten as this can result in seal failure. Sealed jar should be left in an upright position for 24 hours to cool. Always check screw band for signs of deterioration before use. Store in a dark, dry and cool days.
