Heat it - Heat ribbon to 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) with hot water, hair dryer, etc. to activate/melt. 2. Shape it - once heated, Forj becomes clear so you can shape and mold it (Can re-heat) 3. Fix it - As Forj cools, it turns into a rigid. 1000 lb strength (454 kg strength). World's strongest and most adaptable repair material. Heat. Shape. Fix. Forj is made of a series of ultra-strong polyethylene strands impregnated with linear resin to form an ultralight ribbon. When heated (To approx. 140 degrees F (60 degrees C)) to active the resin, the ribbon becomes clear so you can mold and shape it. As it cools, the self-bonding material quickly becomes rigid and as strong as steel. You can re-heat it to re-mold it. Fiber in the material that provides strength will be permanently damaged at temperatures above 190 degrees F (88 degrees C) and will cause severe burns. Not intended for small children. When risk of life, property or environmental damage is a concern, working load should not exceed 10% of breaking strength (22 mm width of Forj has a breaking strength of 1,000 lbs). In absence of higher risk factors, working load should not exceed 25% of breaking strength. Exposure to temperatures above 130 degrees F will cause ribbon to bond to itself.
