Care & Cleaning. This cookware is hand was recommended. Always allow cookware to cool down before immersing it in water. For burn spots and food residue wash with warm water and a mild detergent. Only use plastic or wooden utensils to protect the nonstick coating of your cookware. In extreme cases residue can be removed by a thorough cleaning with a solution of 3 tablespoons bleach, 1 tablespoon liquid dish detergent and 1 cup of water. Rub this mixture to the surface with a sponge or plastic bristle brush, rinse and towel dry. After cleaning, recondition the interior by swiping a light layer of cooking oil onto the surface. Special Instruction for Use on Stovetops. Follow your stovetop's manufacturer's instructions regarding appropriate handling of different types of cookware on your ceramic or glass stovetop. Additionally never place hot cookware onto a cool ceramic/glass stovetop since this also might also might cause the element to fuse onto its surface or even cause the surface to crack. Use & Care: Please rinse the cookware with warm water and towel dry it completely before first use. Use pot holders or oven mitts when handling porcelain enamel cookware. Use trivets to protect countertops from hot cookware. Do not use in microwave. Heating Instruction: Gradually increase the pan's temperature to the desired heat setting prior to applying butter or oil. Start with low heat. Do not overheat when cookware is dry. Always ensure that oil, water or some type of food is inside the cookware prior to heating it. With butter, it should bubble when temperature has been reached. When using cooking oil, allow it to rise to the preheated temperature before adding food to the pan. Cooking oil sprays are not recommended. The residue from these sprays accumulate over time and are difficult to remove from the nonstick surface. Apply oil to a paper towel and lightly rub the interior of the pan thus creating a protective coating. Oven Instruction: This item is safe for cooking on gas, ceramic, halogen, glass and electric stove-tops. Not suitable for use in the microwave. Use & Care: Rinse the cookware with warm water and towel dry before first use. Safe on gas and electric stove-tops.
