Onion Soup: Stove: 1. Empty 1 envelope soup mix into medium sauce pan. Stir in four cups (32 oz) water and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. 2. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Microwave: Combine 1 envelope soup mix and 4 cups water in a 2 qt. casserole. Uncover and heat on high power until. boiling (about 8 minutes), stirring occasionally. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving. Onion Dip: 1 Envelope onion soup mix. 2 Cups sour cream. Combine soup mix and sour cream; mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Serve with crackers, chips or fresh vegetables. Yield: About 2 cups. Caution: Soup may be hot. Refrigerate any unused cooked portion.
