In clinical testing with early pregnancy samples Clearblue gave the following results: -1 Day before the expected period: >99% pregnancies detected. -2 Days before the expected period: >99% pregnancies detected. -3 Days before the expected period: 98% pregnancies detected. -4 Days before the expected period: 93% pregnancies detected. -5 Days before the expected period: 77% pregnancies detected. If you test early and get a 'not pregnant' result, there's still a chance you may be pregnant as the amount of pregnancy hormone increases rapidly in early pregnancy. See insert.
