Thawing Instructions: Thaw in refrigerator 33 degrees to 39 degrees F. Cooking Instructions: Grilled: 350 degrees F to 5 to 7 minutes. Deep Fried: 375 degrees F for 3-1/2 to 5 minutes (use high temperature breading). Sauteed with Egg Batter: Precook (poach or fry) 4 to 5 minutes, then batter in egg and saute like abalone. To serve 3 or 4: 1) Thaw 4 squid steaks - pat dry. 2) Beat 2 eggs in a bowl. 3) Season 1-1/2 bread crumbs to taste with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. 4) Dip squid steaks in egg mixture nad then in bread crumbs. 5) Fry in butter or margarine for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown, garnish with lemon slices. Keep frozen.
