Keep refrigerated or frozen, thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot, refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Thaw: Refrigerator: Thaw turkey breast in unopened wrapper on a tray, in the refrigerator for 1-3 days. Quick Thaw: Place unopened turkey breast in a sink filled with cold tap water for 4-8 hours. Change water every 30 minutes. Once thawed, keep in refrigerator until ready to cook. Do not thaw at room temperature. Prepare: (If cooking from frozen see Roast from Frozen directions) 1 Remove netting and wrapper. 2 refrigerate gravy packet until ready to use. 3 Drain juices and pat breast with paper towels. Roast: 1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. 2 Place prepared turkey breast, skin side up, on flat roasting rack in 2 inches deep open roasting pan. Do not add water to pan. 3 Brush or spray skin with vegetable oil. 4 Roast, uncovered, according to time guideline above. 5 To check for doneness, temperature on a meat thermometer should be 165 degrees F in the breast. However, butterball recommends that the temperature in the breast reads 170 degrees F for best eating experience. If the turkey breast is stuffed, the temperature in the center of the stuffing should be 165 degrees F. 6 Let turkey stand 15 minutes before carving. In meantime, prepare the gravy per packet directions. Roast from Frozen: 1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. 2 remove netting and wrapper - to avoid puncturing gravy packet, make a tiny hole in the front of wrapper and nip open with fingers. 3 Remove gravy packet - microwave breast on high for 2-4 min and/or place under running hot water until the gravy packet loosens. Carefully remove and refrigerate packet until ready to use. 4 Place turkey breast, skin side down, on flat roasting rack in 2 inches deep open roasting pan. Do not add water to pan. Roast for 1 hour. 5 Turn turkey breast skin side up; brush or spray skin with vegetable oil. 6 To check for doneness, temperature on a meat thermometer should be 165 degrees F in the breast. However, butterball recommends that the temperature in the breast reach 170 degrees F for best eating experience. If the turkey breast is stuffed, the temperature turkey breast is stuffed, the temperature in the center of the stuffing should be 165 degrees F. 7 Continue roasting, uncovered, until meat thermometer, in thickest part of muscle, reaches 165 degrees F 8 Let turkey stand 15 minutes before carving.
