Baking Tips: For entire box, double all ingredients; bake in 3-quart casserole dish about 40 minutes at 425 degrees F. Bake potatoes (half box or entire box) and roast meat at same time: 325 degrees F about 60 minutes; 350 degrees F about 50 minutes; 375 degrees F about 45 minutes. Stove-Top Directions For Half Box: 1. Stir: Stir 1 packet Sauce Mix, 1-1/2 cups hot water, 2/3 cup milk, 2 tablespoons butter and 1 pouch potatoes in 2-quart saucepan. Heat just to boiling, stirring occasionally. Watch carefully to avoid boilover. 2. Reduce: Reduce heat. Cover; simmer about 25 minutes, stirring often, until tender (sauce will thicken). Microwave Directions For Half Box: 1. Stir: Stir 1 packet Sauce Mix, 2 cups hot water, 2/3 cup milk, 2 tablespoons butter and 1 pouch Potatoes in 2 1/2-quart microwavable casserole dish. 2. Microwave: Microwave uncovered on High 18 to 23 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until tender (sauce will thicken). Caution: Hot! For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions. Refrigerate leftovers. Make It Like Betty: For half box, stir 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder into potato mixture before baking.
