Keep best refrigerated or frozen. Beans, peas, and lentils are natural agricultural products. Despite use of modern agricultural equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Sort and rinse before cooking. Stovetop Cooking: Combine 1 cup mung beans and 3 cups water and bring to a boil. Cover and lower heat to a simmer. Cook until soft, about 30 minutes. Makes about 2-1/2 cups of cooked beans.
