Weight: one quart (946 ml)
Directions
Simple and easy to apply. The key to an excellent final appearance is good surface preparation. Proper surface preparation is essential for the Olympic limited warranty to apply. Preparation: Bare Wood: Sand with the grain of the wood. Refinishing Old Wood: Remove all old finishes using furniture refinisher from the Olympic Interior Wood Finishing System. Final surface preparation: Wood must be free of dust, dirt, grease or oils. Use a tack cloth or vacuum cleaner to remove any dust or dirt from the wood. Surfaces must be dry before staining. Application: For even color acceptance on soft woods, such as pine, fir, alder, and spruce, use Olympic Wood Conditioner. Wipe the conditioner onto the wood and allow to penetrate for 5 minutes, then wipe off the excess. Stir stain before use. Apply with a clean cloth, brush, sponge, pad, roller, or by spray equipment. No thinning is needed for any application. Allow to penetrate for 5 to 15 minutes. Wipe off the excess stain with a clean cloth. The intensity of the color is controlled by the penetration time. To further increase color intensity, allow the stain to dry for 5 hours, then apply a second coat. Dry time: Dry time varies with temperature, humidity, and wood type. Allow at least 5 hours before top coating. Cleanup: Clean up with mineral spirits or paint thinner. Danger-rags, steel wool or waste soaked with this product may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after use, place rags, steel wool or waste in a sealed water-filled metal container. Coverage: Olympic Interior Wood Stains will cover approximately 125 sq ft (11.6 m2) per quart (946 ml). Coverage will vary with wood type and preparation.
