Directions

Crumble and brown ground beef in a medium size skillet. Drain fat. Add chili powder and salt. Reduce heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Remove taco shells from plastic overwrap. Prior to filling, warm taco shells in 200 degree oven for 5 to 10 minutes. Stuff taco shells with 1 to 2 tablespoons of seasoned beef. Add generous amounts of shredded lettuce, tomatoes, grated Cheddar cheese and onions. Top with taco sauce. Microwave: Crumble and brown ground beef in a microwave-safe bowl on High for 3 to 5 minutes. Drain fat. Add chili powder, salt and a small amount of water and continue heating on High for another 2 minutes. Vary the amount of water to achieve the desired consistency. Remove taco shells from plastic overwrap. Microwave shells on High for 30 to 45 seconds, then fill with 1 to 2 tablespoons seasoned meat and top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, grated Cheddar cheese and onions. Add taco sauce to taste.
