Directions
Transplant to container no more than 2 inches larger than present container. Scrub pot or planter with hot water to destroy harmful bacteria. Clay pots should be soaked before planting. For adequate drainage, place a layer of charcoal stones or broken clay pottery over bottom hole. For containers without drainage, fill one-fourth with horticulture charcoal (to filter water and prevent souring). Partially fill pot with potting soil mixture. Remove plant from old container. (Place fingers on one hand around stem of plant, turn pot upside down and lightly tap edge of planter. Root ball and plant will slide out easily.) Gently remove loose soil from outer roots. Set plant in center of new pot and add soil. Press soil gently but firmly all around the plant. Leave 1/2 inch below rim of pot for watering. Water thoroughly.
