Unsnap the filter cap from the filter box and remove the filter media and bio-elements. Unsnap the screen from the shell. Remove the two screws holding the shell halves together. Rotate the pump inlet screen counterclockwise to loosen it from the pump. Place pump into the bottom shell of the filter box. Tighten the pump inlet screen against the pump support to secure the pump in bottom shell. If your pump is a G535 series, the rubber grommet in the top shell of filter box is not required and must be removed. Reassemble the remaining pieces as shown above, ensuring that the slots in the screen and filter cap are oriented upward as shown. Fold the strain relief bushing over the pump's power cord and then press it into the slot in the side of the filter box shell. A reduction in the water spray from your fountain nozzle may indicated that your filter media needs cleaning. For periodic cleaning of the foam filter media inside the MFB235, access the filter media by removing the filter cap. Remove the filter media with bio-elements and rinse out debris using water from your pond. Orientation of the bio-elements is not critical, but the bio-elements must be retained in the slot of the filter media. If filter media becomes worn, it may be replaced using Beckett model, MFPSP. The modular design of the MFB235 allows for the convenient expansion of the filtration capacity. To increase the filtration capacity of the filter box, an additional filter section (Beckett model MF135), may be purchased. Up to three additional filter sections may be added to the original filter box. By increasing the filtration area of the filter box, you may be able to reduce the frequency of routine filter cleansing.

For use as an in-pond mechanical pre-filter for Beckett Versa pumps series G100 through G535. (Pumps are sold separately.) The Beckett modular filter box, MFB235, is a mechanical pre-filter designed for use with the Beckett pump models, G100 through G535 (not for use with M-Series Pumps). The MFB235 filter box will protect your pump from pond debris for improved efficiency and performance. This filter is recommended for all applications where the pump supplies water to a fountain spray nozzle. The MFB235 can be expanded by adding up to three additional filter sections of Beckett model MF135. In addition, the filter media of the MFB235 can be easily accessed for routine cleaning.
