Directions

Donning: 1. Hold the respirator in hand and with the nosepiece at your fingertips. Allow headbands to hang freely below hand. 2. Cup the respirator firmly against your face with the nosepiece on the bridge of your nose. 3. Stretch and pull the lower headband over the head and position below your ears. Stretch and pull the top headband on the back of your head above your ears. 4. Press soft metal or plastic nosepiece to conform snugly around your nose. 5. To test fit, cup both hands over the respirator and exhale vigorously. If air flows around your nose, tighten the nosepiece. If air leaks around the edges, reposition the headband for better fit.

Warnings

You must read and understand the fitting instructions and warnings on this box before using this mask. OSHA standards including 29 CFR 1910. 134(e) (5) and CSA standard Z94.4-93 require that the wear be fit-tested. If you cannot achieve a proper fit, do not enter the contaminated area. Change respirator immediately if breathing becomes difficult or respirator becomes damaged or distorted. See your supervisor for proper respiratory protection fitting. Warnings and Limitations: 1. Failure to follow all instructions and limitations on the use of this product could reduce the effectiveness of respirator and result in sickness or death. 2. A properly selected respirator is essential to protect your health. Before using this respirator, consult an industrial hygienist or occupational safety professional to determine the suitability for your intended use. 3. This product does not supply oxygen. Use only in adequately ventilated areas containing sufficient oxygen to support life. Do not use this respirator when oxygen concentration is less than 19.5%. 4. Do not use when concentrations of contaminants are immediately dangerous to health or life. 5. Leave work area immediately and return to fresh air if (a) breathing becomes difficult or (b) dizziness or other distress occurs. 6. Facial hairs or beards and certain facial characteristics may reduce the effectiveness of the respirator. 7. Never alter or modify this respirator in any way. 8. Only for single use. No maintenance necessary. Discard the used respirator after single use. 9. Keep respirators in the display box away from direct sunlight until use. 10. This respirator has been tested and small punctures around the staples are normal and do not interfere with the respirator compliance with part 84 approval requirements: (A) filtering facepieces are to be inspected prior to each use to assure there are no holes in a breathing zone other than the punctures around staples and no damage has occurred and (B) enlarged holes resulting from ripped or torn filter material around staple punctures are considered damage. Asbestos Warning - Do not use this respirator for protection against the inhalation of asbestos. Silica Warning - SAS Safety respiratory products are not designed to protect you from the inhalation of silica while performing, observing, or working in or around sandblasting operations. Cautions and Limitations: A- Not for use in atmospheres containing less than 19.5 percent oxygen. B- Not for use in atmospheres immediately dangerous to life or health. C- Do not exceed maximum use concentrations established by regulatory standards. J- Failure to properly use and maintain this product could result in injury or death. M- All approved respirators shall be selected, fitted, used, and maintained in accordance with MSHA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations. N- Never substitute, modify, add, or omit parts. Use only exact replacement parts in the configuration as specified by the manufacturer. O- Refer to user's instructions and/or maintenance manuals for information on use and maintenance of these respirators. P- NIOSH does not evaluate respirators as surgical masks.
