Directions
Place desired amount of frozen chopped collar greens into boiling salted ( optional) water. When water again boils, cover, reduce heat and cook gently 25 to 30 minutes or until tender. Do not overcook. Southern style: Place frozen chopped collard greens into boiling, salted water, add desired amount of bacon drippings or salt pork and cook 50 to 55 minutes at moderate temperature. Microwave cooking: Place contents of package in covered microwave proof casserole: add 2 tablespoons water, cook on high setting for 5 minutes stir and cook on high setting for another 6 to 7 minutes. Let stand 2 to 3 minutes. Note: Due to varying wattage on microwave ovens, you may need to cook longer than indicated. Please consult your microwave oven owner's manual for additional information. Storage Directions: To assure optimum quality and freshness, keep the unused package in your freezer at 0 degrees F ( -18 degrees C) or lower until ready to use. When thawed, Use promptly. Keep frozen.
