Giant Broccoli Cuts

Keep frozen. Simmer: For each 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of broccoli cuts, bring 3/4 cup water to a boil. Add vegetable and bring to second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 5 to 7 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: Pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of broccoli cuts in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 8 to 10 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. Microwave Ovens: Pour broccoli cuts in 1 1/2 quart microwave-safe dish. Cover and cook on High as directed on chart. Season to taste. Servings: 2 large = 8 oz broccoli cuts + 1/4 cup water, cooking time: 4 minutes. Stir and continue to cook for 4 to 5 minutes. 5 Servings = 16 oz broccoli cuts + 1/3 cup water, cooking time: 4 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 7 minutes. Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owner's manual.
