Directions

Controlled Feeding - Adult Cats: Serve 1/2 cup (based on a standard 8 ounce measuring cup) twice a day, or fill the bowl every morning. Increase or decrease the serving size according to your cat's size, age, weight, and activity level to maintain optimum body weight. Feeding Directions for average cat with normal activity. Size of Cat (weight): 1-5 lbs - Daily Amount to Feed: 1/8-1/2 cup. 6-10 lbs - 1/2-1 cup. 11-15 lbs - 1-1 1/2 cups. 15+ lbs - 1 1/2 cups plus. 1/2 cup for each additional 2 lbs of body weight. Cafeteria Feeding is also highly recommended. Just keep a bowl of clean fresh water and a full bowl of fat food in front of your cat at all times. Since many cats prefer to nibble rather than eat, it's the ideal trouble-free way to keep your cat happy and satisfy that desire for nocturnal snacks. Kittens Feeding: Kittens generally are ready to nibble on semi-solid foods at three to four weeks of age. After weaning, at six to eight weeks of age, kittens will normally eat dry or moistened food at will. If water is added, use no more than 1 part warm liquid to three parts America's Choice Preferred Pet Temptin' Tidbits Cat Food; do not serve more than what the kittens will consume in a thirty minute period to ensure product freshness. Reproduction Feeding: America's Choice Preferred Pet Temptin' Tidbits Cat Food provides the essential nutrition needed by reproducing females in the stages of gestation and nursing. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant females good body condition. Feed intake may double or even quadruple during nursing vs. adult maintenance feeding guides. Important: Cats' appetites vary and it is not unusual for them to lose their interest in food occasionally. In most instances it's just their way of adjusting their food intake to energy expenditure, and they normally will resume their feeding habits in a day or so. However, should they refuse food beyond this period, it could be a sign of approaching sickness and you may wish to consult your veterinarian. When switching to America's Choice Preferred Pet Temptin' Tidbits Cat Food: Changes in your cat's feeding habits should be made gradually. When changing, first substitute small amounts in place of your cat's current food. Then over the next week to 10 days, increase the amount of America's Choice Preferred Pet Temptin' Tidbits Cat Food, while decreasing amounts of your cat's other food, until your cat has 100% America's Choice Preferred Pet Temptin' Tidbits Cat Food. Healthful Hints: Water is essential to your cat's body functions. Provide fresh, clean water in a clean container at all times. If your cat refuses water, try moistening this cat food before serving. For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly.
