Important Safety Instructions: 1. Save these instructions - this sheet contains important safety and operating instructions for this charger. 2. Before using battery charger, read all instructions and caution marking on the charger, battery, and product using battery. 3. Charge Duracell NiMH rechargeable batteries only. Do not charge Alkaline, Carbon Zinc, Lithium, or any other kind of batteries not specified on the charger as they may burst causing personal injury and damage. 4. Indoor use only, do not expose charger to rain or snow. 5. Do not place in water or near extreme heat. 6. Never use an extension cord or any attachment not recommended by Duracell, otherwise this may result in a risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons. 7. To reduce risk of damage to electric plug and cord, pull by plug rather than cord when disconnecting charger. 8. Make sure cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress. 9. Do not operate charger with damaged cord or plug. 10. Do not operate charger if it has received a sharp blow or been subjected to damage in any way. 11. Do not disassemble charger. Disassembly may result in a risk of electric shock or fire. 12. To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug the charger from outlet before attempting cleaning or when not in use. 13. Never use as a power source for any electrical equipment. Operating Instructions: 1. Insert 1 to 4 AA or AAA Duracell NiMH rechargeable batteries into the charging slot. 2. Connect the power cord to the charger. 3. Plug in the cord to a power source. 4. If the connection is correct, the red LED will light to indicate that the charger is ready and then change to a flashing green LED. 5. When all the batteries are fully charged, the green LED will light. 6. Now the batteries are ready to use, unplug the charger from the power outlet and remove the batteries. 7. If abnormal conditions are detected by the charger during charging, the charger will stop charging and LED light will flash: a) both LEDs flash - shorted or open circuit battery inserted; b) red LED flash - extreme room temperature.
